The top pads include fining and polishing pads for all plastic lens materials. These pads feature a pull tab extended petal and special backing to facilitate easy removal.

The base pad is perforated to reduce the surface area coming into contact with the adhesive back of the surfacing pad allowing easy removal at the end of the surfacing cycle.

The base pad perforations serve another ingenious function. When under pressure the special pad backing compresses into the the perforations thereby stopping any lateral movement during surfacing.

This new patented design of base pad system is recommended for use on all types of plastic lenses, and in all surfacing lab environments. “Release Rite” is a much easier and more efficient pad removal alternative to all other adhesive backed, friction grip or easy peel systems.

Release Rite is a patented Gripper Pad System consisting of a lap cover base pad and a series of fining and polishing pads. The base pad is constructed from a durable polymer material that serves as an ingenious interface between the lap and the surfacing
  • Reduces the risk of repetitive strain injury

  • No abrasive surface to cause contamination of fining and polishing slurry’s

  • No more soaking tools for easy removal

Unique base pad material ensures no slippage—this system loves all curves high &  low
  • Reduced labour cost from easier and faster removal of abrasive and polishing pads

  • Unlike abrasive base pads “Release Rite” will not irreparably damage the lens surface if it comes into contact with the lens

Extra large “Tabbed” petal on fining and polishing pads aids easy removal from tool.
